Kaltsas' real estate ventures began in 1971 when he purchased and operated a 155-acre organic wheat and clover farm in Whitewood, Saskatchewan. Following the sale of that property, he began purchasing parcels in downtown Sarasota. He also took on the position of director for Kaltsas Realty, managing his family's properties in Arizona, Massachusetts and New Jersey.
